Discover Sunset Beach

Orginally called Bald Beach, Sunset Beach was purchased and renamed Sunset Beach in 1955 by Mannon C. Gore. In 1958, Gore built a pontoon swing bridge that remained in place until the current high-rise bridge was opened in 2010.

The southernmost of the Brunswick Islands, Sunset Beach was named as one of the 21 Best Beaches in The World by National Geographic. The laid back island is the perfect place to kick back and relax for vacation or a permanant residence.
